This is an amazing procduct. We bought it for our son for Christmas after our mifddle son bought one for his truck. His was very easy to install at home. Our youngest son owns a Chevy truck, so he had to go to Best Buy & buy another product for 0 & had to let them install it all. After installation, the product works great & has an amazing picture. It is wonderful when he helps take his neice & nephew places. I would recommend this product to anyone, just check to see what else you will need before you install it.

Got this DVD Player from Radio Shack for only at the same time as got a 0 Sony DVP-FX810 DVD Player as a gift..
was later sent some DVDs from England of a family wedding and was happily surprised to find that whilst the Sony DVD player would not play the foreign DVDs this one does!

I then tested both players with various DVDs and found that this one plays any DVD I put in Bargain!

On the downside, it doesn’t have directional buttons on the player itself (to skip around menu options), only on the remote.

Overall, I have been very happy with this DVD player. I bought it for my daughter (turning 2) to bring on trips in the car, airplane, etc. Compared to the Phillips 7″ player, it’s a huge improvement – both in battery life and overall design. For the extra (or so), it’s well worth it. The only complaint would be one other reivewers have voiced – that there is no way to default to full-screen mode, so if you don’t want black bars on some DVDs, you have to go through the options menu. Overall, though, it’s great – having the remote is nice (you can lock down the controls so little hands can’t accidentally create issues and just use the remote), the quality is solid, the battery life is great, it comes with a car power adapter, and although the screen is small – for a kid’s first DVD player, I think it’s a very good choice. If an adult were using this…I think I would spend the extra $$ and go for a larger screen.

We did not have any trouble with the movie skipping. A remote would have been helpful but overall it made our trip a lot easier.
